NPD Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster

Sweet god. I forced myself into pedal rehab about a year ago. I was getting into some off the wall stuff (Bogden, Fuzzerocious, etc) and decided that I was spending more time making noise in my basement than I was actually playing bass. I, then, dumped all my pedals.

THEN, a friend of mine who plays guitar (well, technically baritone) as well as bass, asked me if I wanted to buy this pedal from him, because he said he loved it on bass, and he was buying a JHS Buffered Boost pedal.

Good god. I dialed in a MONSTER tone with this thing. I had the boost up about half way, the pickup resonance selector on, and I was blown away. I'm playing a Squier VM Fretless jazz with a fretted P neck, into a Peavey Firebass 700 and TVX412 cab.

What does the resonance switch do to the tone?
Don't really need a boost but have been intrigued with the idea

The resonance switches basically makes the a single coil pickup sound a lot more full and round like a humbucker.
