NYC TB'ers - best place to buy Digitech EX-7 and others

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi guys,
I'm about to head to NYC next weekend, and plan on picking up some pedals for my gargantuan combined bass/guitar/looping board. I know that NYC is not the cheapest place for music gear, but hey, it's where I'm going and despite recent currency plunges, it's still likely to be half the price of the same thing locally...

I'm particularly interested in the Digitech EX-7 (whammy, rotary and synth/noise, yes please), and just wondering where you guys think the best place to go to pick one up would be. I know about 48th street, GC on 14th, 30th St guitars, and a few other places, but with my wife travelling with me, I'm gonna be limited in the number of places I can go pedal-shopping.

Any opinions?

Steve

Well, I think 46th or 47th is where all the music stores are... All in one big group.

I found a shop on 7th heading towards times square that had pedals and records and other DJ and Audio gear, but I forget exactly where...

Google music stores in NYC and you will get phone numbers, addresses, etc, etc, etc.

The best place for pedals in NYC is just outside of NYC,, in New Hyde Park, LI.
Pedalgeek is a store dedicated to pedals.

Have fun with the EX-7. I got mine about a week ago, and once I was able to get a few things straightened out on it, I've been having a ball with it.

If you are limited on time, the places you mentioned are the only ones I would focus on.
