Octave pedal decision

Ok, so I have had my pedalboard setup for a few months now, and I realize that I may have skimped out but I am not sure. I was originally going to buy a POG2 to get some fun octaves to mess around with my prog band, and instead of the POG2 I decided on the Boss Harmonist. Now, while it is a cool pedal and I do get an octave above and below, those are the only functions I have a use for. I find the other harmonies don't translate incredibly well to bass, and the pitch shifting features are sort of useless to me. The S-bend is fun to mess around with but it has no musical use for my playing. The one thing I will give it credit for is tracking very fast. When I play fast, it keeps up. My only issue is sometimes I like to do chords or tapping and the sounds just deteriorate since it was meant to only do one note at a time in harmony mode. So I am revisiting the idea of getting a POG2 to replace my harmonist, but I have some very specific questions about it that I haven't found answers for using the search function.

I know it does swells and big organ sounds and all that fun slow mystical stuff, but can it track when you are playing at a good clip?

Has anyone tried tapping with it? or Slapping? and how does it react to that?

How does it sound when using a very cutting fuzz behind it?

Also, I will be going to test it out tomorrow with my bass possibly. Hopefully some info I get here will help me determine if its worth it to go try or if I will be wasting my gas.

Go and youtube the POG 2. Not sure if the poll will be relevant after you watch some of the demos.

FYI I have the POG 2 and a Foxrox Octron 2 on my board.

So in order:

Carrots wasn't a very good pedal but alot of my friends thinks what it offers is some tasty grooves

I really like the presets as I have a use for them and so the POG2 has always been at the top of my list

And, I have checked out alot of demo vids, but mostly they show swells. no real tapping or slapping with it, but from what ive heard in terms of speed I like it.

As of now, I am probably going to end up getting it.

Hands down, POG 2

Beats the crap outta the Boss in shear flexibility as an octaver. You really get your money's worth with having savable presets and fun stuffs like that.

Obvious difference is the harmonist can do more than just octaves.

POG2 is fine for tapping. Slapping? It can track it, but that's like putting tuna in a peanut & jelly sandwich.

with some of the stuff I tend to do in my prog band, tuna in a PB&J would be like a Bluegrass bassist playing root and 5th; not even close to the weirdest thing possible.

thanks for the input everyone.

as someone that just sold his second POG2, it is an amazing pedal but it depends on what sounds good to YOU! I prefer the pitch-shifting in my Boss PS-3 with some OD after it to thicken it up, OC-2 for -1 synthy madness and the EHX BMS XO for a dirty occ up and down, actually I have a cool organ synth sound I make with the BMS. Organ sounds can be achived with the Boss PS-3,O/D and either very light phase or vibrato.
