Octave pedal x 2

So just picked up a boss oc2 at BassNW and I already had a MXR 288 bass octave deluxe. So I thought to myself what the heck I'll throw both on the board and see what sort of noise I could come up with. The signal chain is volume> tuner> oc2 >tone hammer>MXR 288>boss chorus> MXR envelope>MXR carbon copy> boss ns2 noise suppressor.
So the oc2 has that great synthy sound and fast tracking and the.MXR has the fat sub bass booty and growl. When put together they produce a 3 octave signal(root,-1 and-2 octave below) that is overdriven and huge. You can still make out the notes clearly too. Engaging the tone hammer is just plain scary. This is going to be very fun at our next rehearsal.

I'll get some with our logo and sell them at the merch table.

Interesting... I have both on my board too, but have not had any success running both at the same time. But I don't have anything in between them, maybe I'll try running the BOD after my BassDriver and see if I can get that working.

No shows lined up right now my main band is on hiatus while we finish up mixing and mastering our CD.
I do have a side project I am working on right now and we are in the writing phase. Going to do some shows this summer for sure.

Is the OC2 tracking better than the MXR 288?

I do something of the sorts from time to time. i run my OC-2 into a POG2 set to -1 oct sometimes and its CRAZY! -2 oct is pretty much inaudible but it does shake my walls.

Up high yes but not so well below C on the 3rd fret of the A string. The MXR can go to low A and sustain it for a more than few seconds and even lower when playing a line (about down to F#)
I was half thinking of selling the MXR but now no way in hell. They just compliment each other so well. Just more paint for sound pallet. (wow that was super nerdy)
