I have an octave down effect, looking to snag and Octave up...
the two i'm really giving the eyeball are:
the Mojo Hand Mystic Octavius
the Catalinbread Ottavia Magus
i have found samples of the Mystic Octavius but not the Catalinbread....anybody use either of these pedals...if so how do you like them?
and Please DON'T suggest the POG...been there done that don't like it

found clips on here of the Ottava Magus as well...looks like I'm back to the drawing board...maybe?
ok Grygrx....so tell me if it were you which octave up effect would you snag for bass?
don't you have that Phoenix Custom Electronics Octopus? (or am i nuts?) what are your thoughts on it?
I also tried the Voodoo lab Proctavia....lot of low end loss there on bass...and your typical response only at both ends of the spectrum....

| | | | possibly slight overkill unless you find a good deal but the boss PS-5 tracks well on bass (four string at any rate) it can do one or two octaves up. Not to mention so many other cool harmonizer features

I'm sure they are based off of something) is they only start producing octaves even on guitar at like the twelfth fret, which makes them worthless on bass.
I have no octopus. The only octave up I've ever used and was happy with on bass is the foxrox octron. The octron 2 was a little too much for me, but one of these days I'll snag another regular one. |

Tycobrahe Octavia replica - one of my favorite pedals...Controllable fuzz plus an octave up in there. Stack it w/ a muff and you've got musical orgasms flying everywhere. |

Prob w/ Mad Guitars Seafoam Ringer - you can find the same pedal in a small enclosure.
Keep up the good search! |

| | | | your best bet is the whammy pedal. the latest has multiple octave up and down effects, plus all sorts of other stuff like automatic harmony, drop tuning, and a chorus-like detune effect. not a rip off, try it |

It also has it's own tone that not everyone may like.

I'm assuming the separate knobs for clean tone and octave will allow me to keep all my bottom, and I have heard and am hoping that the octave stacks well with my other fuzzes. If I like it, I will be posting clips of it. |
