Sign in to disble this ad
One of the things I learned from my first looping gig was how much value there would be in being able to extend my harmonic range upward (move some of the loops up an octave to avoid muddiness).
From what I've read, most octavers provide an octave down.
What recommendations do you have for octavers that can provide an octave up?
Thanks!

Mirco POG will do octave up and down singularly or at the same time with blending options.
Tycobrahe Octavia replicas will get you an octave up plus controllable fuzz (but there's always at least a little fuzz).
If you can build on your own, get a clone/replica and do it. You can have someone build it for you. You can do ebay, check the classifieds on here, etc etc etc.

And it's polyphonic, to boot! |

| | | +1 for the Micro Pog. Awesome pedal and nothing else like it on the market (except the 'normal' Pog ). |

The octave up of the Pog are just too harsh, even my hematoma (which is a dark sounding overdrive) is not able to cover up the harshness.
Mind you the Octron doesn't seem to clean up quite as well as the Pog. |

Mind you the Octron doesn't seem to clean up quite as well as the Pog. | The Octron can only do a dirty octave up. Also, it's not polyphonic. The Micro Pog really comes into its own when you combine it with other effects - chorus, distortion etc and even more so if use both outputs with a blender pedal so you can add, say, distortion and reverb to the octave up only for example. |

It's just another option in the up octaves pedals, I just wish I had known about it when I bought the Pog. |

I don't think you can get a clean octave up in an analog form. Two diodes are used to create the octave up effect and the dirt is a result of that process.

Another pedal to consider is the Akai Unibass. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
