Can anyone find me a demo of an octavia fuzz pedal on bass? I can't find any on youtube.

I bet there's a good dempo of the Pigtronix Disnortion somewhere which has a octave up ring mod before parallel Drive and Fuzz...so with just fuzz and octava you may be able to do everything the octavia does...but that's me knowing very little about the octavia, and only how much I love the octava channel on my disnortion

the octavia isn't too popular on bass, but there are other octave fuzzes that are, like the brassmaster and to some extent the superfuzz. i think the foxx tone machine octave mode is a good octave fuzz for bass as well.

The Foxx (or at least its cheap Danelectro clone, the French Toast) isn't really usable on bass, in my experience. It cuts the low fundamentals and the midrange too much. It sounds awesome by itself, but in a band mix you might as well be using a mute switch.

The Disnortion is a very cool pedal. The octave sounds reallę nasty (in a good way) when dialed in right. I mainly use mine just for the fuzz and OD, both of which are fantastic, so the octave is just a little bonus.

I'm pretty sure that Toasted claimed that the French Toast is pretty much a direct clone. I think that tone-wise, it's supposed to be a prettę close match.

Having tried the French Toast as well as other clones such as the HBE UFO, the octave on the UFO is much more usable on bass than on the French Toast. Same thing with the PE Experience pedal.

But the Voodoo Lab Proctavia is great on bass. I still have mine. Sounds like this low on the neck:

The PE Clean Octave blend is also great because it allows you to blend in your clean sound with the octavia effect.

No problem. I have and have had many other soundclips of many other Octavia style pedals on this forum. Here's an example of the octave engaged on the HBE UFO:
