I love a gnarly distorted bass sound. I've tried a bunch of different fuzzes, they don't really work for me with my band.
Here's what I have and like: Fulltone OCD, 3 different era Rats, MXR M80, Aguilar AGRO, ZVEX Box of Rock, Boss Blues Driver, EHX BBM, EHX NYC BM, & Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard, & HAO Sole Pressure.
I've tried and disliked: Boss ODB-3 (too scoopy) & Fulltone Bassdrive (way too polite).
I'm just on the never ending quest for the sound in my head. Sadly, it changes...
Any suggestions?

you could try biamping with the effects on the high and dry on the low, crossover around 150hz.
My line 6 gives me some great OD and distortion.

I was just jamming on some Young Widows a few minutes ago.

I've got a Goosonique’s Seventheaven on the way. I'm pretty stoked to try it. |

I have after one of those compressors that can add back some uncompressed signal with different EQ shelving (Seymour Duncan). Gives the Dawg something else to chew on. Only problem -- once it's got the tone-bone, you can't take it back. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
