OD like Daddy-O but more durable?

Sign in to disble this ad
Alright, I'm narrowing down my list of essential single boxes, & keep wanting a basic light OD. Had a Daddy-O & dug it, but the plastic jacks eventually went glitchy on me. Is there a tonally comparable OD(& ideally, equally cheap )pedal that's built juuust a tad better? If you have something like this you want to part with, PM a bro.

BTW, I did search & didn't see this thought addressed.

If the Daddy-O is pleasing, you might find the Marshall Guv'nor to your liking, as well.

Nice for the bass/little-to-no low end loss? I never noticed this so much w/my Daddy-O, but it had a that reputation. If I can, I want to get something that keeps the bass bassy.
[runs off to google more reviews]

IME the newer Marshall pedals are fine quality wise. my guitar'd has been running and echohead and regenerator for about 3-4 years now, no issues.

My brother bought the new-look Guv'nor when it first came out (however many years ago that was) and it's still going strong.

It is quite similar in sound to the Daddy-O, so should do the job well.
