Were there ever mids in the pedal in the first place?

after messing around with the pedal for about half a year, i can almost get the sound i want... the only problem is that it cuts out the mids like crazy. which is a problem especially when trying to get a mid-heavy sound. anyone know if its possible to... not cut out the mids so much with this pedal?

What are your settings on the pedal?

Since you can boost both the bass and treble range that would give the chance the mids would be scooped since your boosting around them. You might also try lowering the blend so a bit more of your clean signal will come through.

Lowering the bass and treble will give you more mids (or at least give you that illusion).
