Not long after I stared playing bass (mid 80's) I picked up one of these from a pawn shop. This was the first (and only) pedal I used for many years. I still have it and I really can't imagine ever letting it go. I've heard about the tone suck of dod pedals but I don't hear anything like that with mine so maybe I got a "good" one.

Anyways, for those folks that have or have had one of these the only setting I've used is delay time and depth wide open and speed at about 1. It thickens up your sound without being obvious that you've got a chorus turned on. Most people wouldn't know you had an effect turned on but as soon as you turned it off they would know that something had just gone missing.

These are dirt cheap and well worth the $20 you'll spend to pick one up.
