Hmm.. May have to switch some things around next time I'm plugged into the PA.
before the b15 came to AT my settup through the FOH was the Fender twin with the first 15" cab. it had some great clean tones with the vol. around 6-7 then tone stack to taste. or with the 4 x 12 (black) cab. With the volume higher it had great full amp output tube distortion.

So do try some different mixed matched amps/cabs in AT. The "marshall" gold amp is nice to dial in great tones too i know Guy has posted some of the marshall before.
I havent tried to use the b15r with different cabs yet except the other 15" cab, I didn't like it as much as the match 15" cab though.

i just went to the IK site and the forum there is pretty sad. mostly one shot questions being answered by the ik staff thats are for the most part "tech support" Q&A
with answers like "thanks for your question. ill pass that along." and thats it.
I think ill go and join in and start a thread called "if you want real AT IOS Talk then......" I wonder how many would respond. or would it be "censored" by the admin.

I gotta admit, it HAS been awhile!!
My phone is mostly used for practicing. Seriously. Most of the day, I've got an Irig hanging off my phone. Occasionally someone will call and interrupt me, but most days I use the iPhone to avoid getting up and plugging in the laptop!

That said, if the IK guys are paying attention, I'd REALLY appreciate a 30-pin interface with the ability to charge while playing. Please??

I DID IT!!!!!!

Here is the topic i started just now on the IK FORUM:

entitled:
Virtual Bass Players using Amplitube IOS Unite!

I love the IK Products and Amplitube IOS and desktop versions....
not to take anything away from the guys here at IK,....but I've been noticing that there is not enough surrounding the bass guitar or in depth discussion on the matter on this forum
there are alternatives such as:

iRig titled and related topic that has grown to others Amplitube IOS and desktop version topics as well.
The iRig

or

since the release of the B15R in IOS which also has grown to other IOS and desktop version topics.
Official Virtual AMPEG Portaflex Club

come by and talk to us that use the Irig and such. we arent trying to sell anything.
We just love AMPLITUBE. I own all the versions of AT: IOS, IOS fender, AT FENDER, AT AMPEG SVX, up to desktop AT3... ALL fantastic!
IK, keep up the good work.

...and by the way, Amplitube is the best AMP/CAB/MIC/GEAR emulation in the world!
...........MORE BASS GEAR! MORE BASS GEAR! MORE BASS GEAR!!!!!!!!!

You know, I was thinking. We need a looper pedal for AT iOS. That would be fun.

A looper will be cool. I don't think the single CPU iOS devices could manage a looper, but the iPhone 4S, 5 the iPod 5, the iPad 2,3 and mini, all have dual core and could probably deal with a looper.

I'm using AT on a 4S. There was a HUGE improvement over the 3GS, mostly in the area of clicks and pops. The 3GS sounded like practicing inside a popcorn maker!!
The 4S has no problem keeping up, even without switching to airplane mode.

Choir bass.

A crazy little thing I've tried today. Ampeg B15R with the Marshall 4x12" Slash cab. So far so good, but what about using the choir pedal in front of the amp? The pedal is tuned into the A Major scale adding 3rd, 5th and octave to the mix.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to steal that one. VERY cool sound, not sure how well it would go over with guitar players, but awesome for solo playing!!
If you added a phaser to that, it would sound like the intro guitar from "Lightening Crashes" by Live.

One thing about this choir effect, it work nice only on the high register of (my) 4 string basses. The tracking and the sound of the pedal seem to struggle with the lower notes.
But Yes, this pedal is very cool!
