Hopefully IK will surprise us with something cool for Christmas.
Like... what did you have in mind?

Like an 810 for the Ampeg, a BDDI, and MAYBE they could get off their butts and give us a 30-pin interface.

Definitely an other cab then a 1x15"!!
As we have Ampegs heads a 6x10" or even better a 8x10" Ampeg cab will be great.
But I'll not say no to a 2x12" from GK or anything else then a 15" cab.
A BDDI or a RBI/ RPM will be great as well. But wishing a BDDI from IK is probably too unrealistic.. but an Orange AD200!! that is something they know about.
I guess Adam will want the Bassman 300

I am close to adding the Art or the Jam to my Christmas wish list. I need either GC, Sweetwater, or AMS to come up with a 15-20% holiday discount to make me bite... Something for me to practice on quietly while the family watches TV.

I gotta wait till tax time for my new 30-pin interface, so IK still has time to dazzle me.

Just an other idea I was messing with (the bassline, kind of inspired by the intro to closer to the heart by Rush), with the Geddy, B15R and the Møller.

Btw I've rearranged my gear, so my DACmini headphone/ DAC moved into my music room. So the bass is going into my iPad through the Apogee. The sound from the iPad is going into the DACmini, which can drive my AKG K701. The DACmini send also a signal to my mini mixer which is connected into the power section of my bass combo.

That's pretty cool, so you're getting digital sound out to your amp. Cool, but the DAC mini is like $700!!

Yup. How good it'll sound, well that's to be determined. But it'll drive your headphones.

i agree it seems like it would work for sturdy/large format headphones but i dont know anybody that owns or uses one so..... are you around any business establishment that is a behringer dealer, telling them your situation they would probably let you demo it in store before you purchased it.

Or, for $20 you just bite the bullet and buy it. It'll definitely do what you want. But there are better ones out there. But hey. It's $20.

Well, with the Art it looks like I'll still need to camera kit. With the Jam it looks like I'll still need something to drive my headphones.

If I can get a somewhat clean sound out of this I may go with the Jam and this (or something like this). I'm thinking something very portable that I just grab my bass and be setup and ready to play/practice in less than a minute.

I'm curious... I can use my Sennheiser headphones with my iPhone to hear music; why would it be different if I plug my headphones straight into my iPhone, but now I get a cleaner signal through the iPhone's 30-pin via the Jam, the iRiffPort or something similar?

Edited: Is it possible to get some sounds out of AT that sound like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBKxMaWSKuU
