I've a bunch of short ideas recorded now on soundcloud.... but I need to start evolving them and/ or try to merge some of them together. Shame my 2 friends I used to jam and record with (guitar player and keyboard player) moved to an other city.... I know other people I can play with, a singer, a drummer and an other guitar player, but they are not that open to "prog stuff".. We used to play covers together. But while I liked better rock/ pop and prog rock they are more into heavier stuff with more focus on guitar heroes... |

But I did as best as I could to adjust the input gain in AT as close to full w/o clipping...... | i had to turn everything all the way up just to hear the clips at all. at first i thought there was something wrong with my system then maxed out i could hear it a bit..... huge amount of hiss.... sorry not trying to diss or be discouraging you in any way (please dont take me that way) i want all of us to help each other as much as possible...
on the wave form you can see the noise recorded before the playing begins... we need to get that input volume up before it enters into the iRig (maybe) somehow...IDK...
hows the meter and volume of the dry track in the recorder section? does the meter move at all on the targeted dry track?

i could even put some "Addictive Drums" (midi drum Plug-in) on it.

I didn't get to record anything last night. When I was about to hit the record button as the song was about to start that I wanted to record, my channel either in the iPad (odd because all the meters were saying there was input and output signal going for me on the ipad) or the one from the house was suddenly muted so no only was I startled into not playing my part for the big opening and it was noticeable..... ....... I finally came back on just as sudden as it went off and when it did come back on the sound guy and myself had fiddled with the volume or something and it was super loud and distorted, which also made the whole atmosphere for the song ruined. Then the worship leader was acting oddly the rest of the song and didn't give the cue we were not going to the bridge or back to the 2nd verse again so when he went to the verse again the band went to to bridge he was playing rhythm so the music for the song was totally screwed..... It was terrible.. We got not one hand clap when the song was over. The first and third and forth song went without a hitch. But it was a terrible and awkward 2nd song.........
Oh welll..... It happens....
Good thing is we will be having our usual Thursday night practice tonight. So I'll get another chance to record "something" anyway

What you guys are describing is how I've read some studio musicians collaborate.
I'm going to order the Jam this weekend. I am going to make this work.
On two separate notes, I got some shielding tape, CTS pots and a push/pull pot, cap, etc., and will be working on my 6er this weekend. A new graphtec nut should be coming in today. I've never done any shielding/nut work before, so wish me luck.
Regarding the Fender strings, they are very good and inexpensive. I am surprised they are not as popular. The "old" version set lasted me a few 2-3) months, although I just took a set off my CV60J that had been there for over a year. The new version (black and red box) is Ok, but they don't have the same mojo as the old ones. But I bought several sets @ $9 at GC a while back so I am set there for a while.

I played those till there was no tone left in them!! That bass sounds great with those strings. If I ever get over my flatwound obsession, I'll probably go back to those or my all time favorite SS DR Low Riders. |

Since you were saying that the phone headphone jack was working for you. Then that would be a good way to go. The jam itself does not have an output jack right? I thought I read Guy say that. I wonder why....
anywho....That should take care of any input problem.

We could have our own "Virtual Ampeg Theme Song"!! | I can make 2 new SET in the Amplitube club, one set for dry recording, one for wet so can get some idea on possible direction.
In addition we shell exchange e-mail and maybe even open a shared Dropbox folder. We should then be able to save the dry file as wave. Amplitube can export wave when one choose file sharing.
I'm really looking forward to that! |

" Not up next and especially not with the new iOS dock connector."
I was also told this regarding any new iOS bass gear:
" We have a few surprises before some more bass gear, but these surprises will be VERY popular."
Well, that pretty much says nothing. Except that there's no new bass gear coming anytime soon from IK. |
