The SVT and the Redhead are my two favorite amps in Jamup. The Redhead really grows on me, it has this beautiful warm and clear tone which is not really gritty but quite throaty. If I want a bit more grit I add the BDDI. Look on the iRig thread, I've posted two clips of the Redhead and the BDDI.
As I've mentioned earlier my most favorite tone is the one I get with the B15R the Møller and the envelope filter. But the Redhead and the SVT are really full of potential and I bet I'll find my tone with them as well.
I also think PG gave us a great deal with this bass pack, IK multimedia should learn something! |

I'm still doing it, though. Can't wait to hear the Redhead. It sounds like its exactly what I'm after.
I'm thinking IK won't support Audiobus. They're probably gonna try to stay self-contained so they can suck more money out of us. |

In iTunes/ AppStore it does work like that. I've bought several times only a song or two from an album, but then wanted the whole album. I was surprised that I didn't have to buy and download the already downloaded songs again! |

I'm hoping it applies what I've already bought when I hit the button, but if it doesn't I won't be heartbroken. The clips I've heard so far have already shown that its worth the ten bucks.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it became such a great sounding app so suddenly. |

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how it became such a great sounding app so suddenly. | I never gave jamup a first look before you guys said there were "bug fixes" on the update. The addition of an entire bass expansion pack was the kicker to me.
Ik should get their bass algorithms better dialed in. I'm tellin ya the redhead alone without any adjustment to the tone stack except default smashes AT's two bass amps in tone and definition..... The jamup's "blue line" sounds more ballsy and rounder than the "bass" amp in AT. And the output signal from jamup is way louder than AT I had to turn down the headphones from my usual setting while using AT through the avioms. I was taken back from the output gain.
Idk if using the 30 pin output to the art monitor out vs iPad headphone out would have any difference. But an obvious bump up in the output gain. For live I will be using jamup. It a no brainer. I didn't have to tweak to get it sounding the way I want. All I did to the redhead amp settings was I turned the aural knob all the way up ( that's what I usually do to the three SWR amps I've played before) and bumped the gain knob to about 75% then the gain slider at the top right of screen to around half I was getting a good strong green signal. And it was niiiiiiiiice!!!

As of tomorrow, we can use Jamup, Audiobus, and Multitrack DAW for up to 24 tracks of recording. And if the mood strikes ya, for $7.99 there's a MOOG app, too.
So Amplitube will have outlived its usefulness.
Just sayin'. Oh, and Duke, your post was removed from the IK forum.
EDIT: They deleted mine, too. Lol. Guess the truth hurts.

| | How does he do that? | | | | | How much is the AudioBus gonna sell for? For those of you using these sims live, how do you keep from running out of power (since the Jam is connected to the 30-pin interface)? Full charge and hope it is enough?

On mid week meetings around the same.
And on Thursday nights we have a practice which I usually have it on and use it from the start to end of practice. (6:30 - 9:30/9:45) that's usually around 65-70%.

Re: Virtual Bass Players using Amplitube IOS Unite!

I told you what I want for Christmas from you guys at Amplitube iOS because I think you have a great app. And I want to give you criticism that you can become what you say you are "THE KING OF TONE"
Do you really think deleting our posts is the way to go?
I'm not gonna come on here to tell you your the greatest when I want you to be better for your own good. What are you guys so afraid of?
You should have just came on to this thread and told me what you "ARE" working on for us as bass players......you are working on it? Right?....and reassured us that you guys will always be "THE KING OF TONE" and that you are going to make it right.
Again....what are you afraid of?

Top | Well, I've placed a new post on the IK multimedia forum, here it is in case it get deleted as it will probably will... "I've heard that the mods have deleted one of my posts.
Well, thanks for that, we are (me, Rip and Adam) are the core of your strongest supporters in the TalkBass forum. As you might know many bass players sees you app as a toy and swear for nothing but real hardware gear. But there is a growing group of bass players which choose to go Sans-amp at hone, at band rehearsals and even live. Companies like Tech21 understand us. Companies like Positive Grid understand us as well, obviously. They show a lot of more interest in us both on term of communicating with us through mail, following us on Soundcloud (have you even notices we have an Amplitube iOS bass club on Soundcloud??) and giving out bass packs etc.
Just to inform you, Positive Grid gave out a recent update to the Jamup software. They called it "bug fixes", but the it was really a major upgrade which put their tone just on your level, and some say even better. Today came out a new update for Jamup which include support for AudioBus.
You want to delete out posts? You think that will help YOU? Fine with me, but remember there are other companies out there, you are not alone. I'm actually thinking about buying Amplitube SVX or Amplitube 3, but with this kind of attitude from your part.... well, I fell that my motivation is growing smaller to invest in your software. We might just start communicate with Positive Grid and hope they give us what we want. They get paid, we get happy. " |

Today is the day!! Audiobus is here!! And as usual, I'm behind the game, cuz I gotta wait for payday on Friday. Crap.
It sucks to have to drop the change on all these upgrades, but here's my new plan for iOS.
Jamup. They win in my eyes. Not only have they been more receptive to constructive criticism, but they're just really cool people. When I complained to Positive Grid about not having drum tracks to jam along with in Jamup, Derek responded by offering to create custom loops for me to import into the looper!! He emailed me two really great (and COMPLEX!!) loops THE NEXT DAY!! Both Positive Grid and Derek personally are following me on Twitter, and we frequently send each other private messages with suggestions (or answers to my goofy questions). That level of connection to your customers does NOT go unnoticed.
Audiobus. This is gonna be a REAL game-changer. We're no longer limited to using one app for all of our needs. Think of Audiobus this way: now every effect on Jamup can basically be used as a plugin in other apps. That's HUGE, and it's not all Audiobus does. Everyone needs to get on board with Audiobus, it really is the future.
Multitrack DAW. Yup, I said it. Expandable to 24 tracks, dedicated dynamics processing on each track, supported by Audiobus.
So, we have this: Jamup-->Audiobus-->Multitrack DAW= Amplitube is no longer mandatory for certain functions. In other words, step it up or get off my phone!! |

FYI, an answer from IK on the Audiobus question.
"I know the devs have looked at Audiobus as we are aware of it, of course, but I have no news at this time."
I guess that answers that one. You'd think that they would be on board with this, considering that it's the biggest thing to hit iOS music production since, well, iOS music production!!

I'll download Audiobus later today. After IK multimedia have removed my latest post (which was a fair post) I feel like "Musician first" is not what is in their mind.
I'll now seek any possibility to find my solutions on other platforms then Amplitube iOS. So, welcome PG and Jamup, audiobus and Multitrack DAW!!! It will also fit my NLogSynth PRO!
I must say, removing our posts is a direct hit against us, even worse than just promising or saying that "this and that" is planned in the future. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
