That kind of response is the kind of thing that customers don't want to hear...it seems to be to open ended like you don't want to offend anyone..... We are big boys we would like to know one way or another..... It's ok.....

We are big boys we would like to know one way or another..... It's ok..... | This is a response that I honestly expected. Our posts were deleted because we violated IK's forum rules by promoting a product other than IK's on their forum. That's understandable.
What baffles me is that we have come straight to IK and told them what we need, even pointed out other apps that ARE giving us the support we ask for, yet IK takes our posts as an offense and deletes us, then PMs us with an explanation. Dude, seriously. The game is changing, and AT iOS is about to become just what you're promoting it as, a TOY for bedroom guitarists.
Oh well. We do our research. And we have found what works for us. And now with Audiobus, iOS amp sims have just become VERY powerful tools.
If IK wants to keep their stuff proprietary just to keep sucking money out of us with in app purchases that we have to repeat for different devices, that's fine with me. I'm a big boy, with over 30 years of experience in this field. I have no problems with moving on, and putting my faith in a product that actually stands behind their customers.
No worries. |

FYI, an answer from IK on the Audiobus question.
"I know the devs have looked at Audiobus as we are aware of it, of course, but I have no news at this time."
I guess that answers that one. You'd think that they would be on board with this, considering that it's the biggest thing to hit iOS music production since, well, iOS music production!! | I remember emailing and posting in their forums when AudioCopy and Paste was becoming available and it took them months to make that happen. They were desperately trying to find a way to keep it proprietary I believe but ultimately caved. They make a good product but AT is getting deleted from my iOS devices today.. no use for it any longer. |

The iPad have this A4 CPU which is very good, but single core. My iPad Mini is Dual Core! |

Time to stop being so shady
by adambombbrown » Sun Dec 09, 2012 10:15 pm
What are you guys working on for bassists on Amplitube iOS?

Nobody is being shady. We are always working on new products and will fill you in when at the time we have something to announce.

I wouldn't call it shady at all. We know exactly where we stand.
As long as we are happy with using our iOS apps in the bedroom as a practice tool, Amplitube iOS is just ok. The B15R model helped, but too little too late, guys.
We bassists are taking iOS DI solutions VERY seriously. All we are asking is that the company that started the revolution would have our backs, but it is becoming more and more clear that the backs have been turned, and Amplitube iOS is destined to remain in the bedroom as a TOY for teenage beginner guitarists.
It's a shame that we have started threads like these, but it's an even bigger shame that IK doesn't believe in their own product enough to realize the full potential.

Ok......
Maybe shady wasn't the term I was looking for....maybe elusive or sitting on the fence and giving just enough info that doesn't really say anything.....can you tell me why my posts on the virtual bass players unite thread have been deleted whe nothing derogatory or harmful was said. I just want you guys to be "THE KING OF TONE" like you claim to be.
I want you to help yourselves.
I'm almost done...I think things could be better.....but it seem you guys are to scared of...something...to even reassure your customers with real info.
Why so elusive?

| | How does he do that? | | | | You guys don't need to throw salt on my wound...
I have the lowly iPhone 4 (no S, the plain v1) and it does pop/crackle every now and then.
Thx for the airplane mode and reset tips; I'll try that.
Hey, you folks are at the bleeding edge here! Thx for blazing the trail, it makes it easier for those of us following along as best we can!

Have an iPad2 but that is shared and I normally don't have access to it when I would be playing. JamUp performs perfectly on the IP4 though |

Hey, you folks are at the bleeding edge here! Thx for blazing the trail, it makes it easier for those of us following along as best we can! | I also have the iPhone 4
The airplane mode and all apps closed will definitely help with the snap crack pop.
Also just put the latency at low not ultra low there's really not that much difference in latency. That will help too. But you may have already done that.

What I mean by that is that for MONTHS I had Jamup on my phone but didn't use it. It sounded bad, but I didn't delete it because I bought the BDDI and couldn't bring myself to delete it.
Then they have us the update that brought Jamup up to speed. Now Amplitube is the app that sits on my phone, and I can't delete it because I've got so much invested. Crap.
Just because I don't delete it doesn't mean I support IK in any way, they've lost me. Of course, I'll still pay attention for updates cuz that's what we do, but AT is now gonna be collecting dust on my phone.
What gets me is that IK hasn't bothered to really join in on this conversation. Yeah, you could say the same for Jamup, but they've been in contact in other ways, and really support us bassists. |

I thought it needed to have a few "minor bug fixes"
Something I also noticed....I haven't used jamup on my iPhone 4 yet but when I bought the bass expansion on my ipad2 the bass expansion pack appeared on my phone because the purchase transferred right on down to my phone's app too.....imagine that!!!!!!
