I tried it at practice tonight and I was pleasantly surprised how good it sounded with a two 15 cab the bass was tight and the highs and mids were distinctive. But even with it sounding so good and I was using my art interface there was a lot of hiss .....it drove me crazy.....I immediately started doing the old 6band eq trick to get rid of hiss and noise
Brian,
This is what we mean by constructive criticism that you need to improve your product. With jamup I don't have to use a noise filter of any kind and the bass tone is fantastic. I want to use AT and bought the Dual Showman in the hopes that I could use it on stage. I use iOS on stage all the time into the direct box for FOH. It is a DI world for bassists. Not guitarist. Bassist will use your app seriously more than guitarist If you would pay attention to them instead of having your product look and be a toy for guitarists it could be a serious tool. It was a serious tool for me for over 2 years until jamup came out with "the bass expansion pack" I no longer use AT on stage anymore. Isn't that sad? The hiss and noise issue is a serious problem. It's something not only a few but everyone that comes in contact with your app says. They all say "it sound great if it wasn't for all the noise and hiss" or "I could probably use this app as a great practice tool, but I could never, because of the hiss I wouldn't be able to use it live".
We want you to help yourselves first in turn helping ourselves to a great live performance tool.
I remember the days I've used the Line6 Basspod XT pro. There were some really nice amps there, and back then the Dual Showman was one of my favorite heads along with the British Intruder which was a Line6 creation based on a VOX amp. The intruder was a class A head. And then they had this monster head which had a Marshall preamp into a Dual Showman power section, or vice versa, I can't remember.
Anyway, the Dual Showman had very nice gain and breakup if I remember right. a
Again, the Dual Showman was a very popular amp among bass players as well due to the lack of power on many bass heads.
Shame the Showman is so hissy, and you do not use so much gain as me!
Leaf blower? Yes I remember you have huge trees in the US. My Xmas was nice, too much food though... But very nice.
Btw here people buy snow blowing machines, 10HP is about what people use. Never seen a leaf blower here!
I've placed this clip on the iOS bass player as well. Just if somebody is curious how the B15 1966 and the SVT Blue line sounds with "Normal" settings. https://soundcloud.com/duke21/ampegs-on-jamup
Sure did! Got a killer new handheld gas powered leaf blower! How was yours?
Awesome I could really use a good leaf blower. I got an 18" chainsaw from my dad. My leaf blower is an electric a good one but I'm only goin as collar as the cord will let me.

Ya, that's why I went for gas. We have electric hedge clippers, which is a big enough pain trying to find the 100ft cord and moving it to several different spots around the house.
Yeah I saw to posting on there and it didn't seem to get any kind of response
I have been reading the thread awhile. I love the old tube amp threads. Of course I love anything tube related. I study all the schematics I can get my hands on. They really fascinate me. Simplistic designs for amazing sound.

I am sorry, but who the heck is this Slash guy? I couldn't find that bass player anywhere on the web. Does anyone know about this bass player?
[/sarcasm]
No John Paul Jones, Chris Squire, Dave LaRue? What gives Amplitube?
I play guitar as well and like Amplitube 3 but just didn't like the limited options for the bass player. No, I do not approach the bass the same as my 6-string guitar, maybe that is my problem?
So what about that audiobus? Is it working with Amplitube yet?

Audiobus will probably never work with Amplitube, as IK wants to keep all the money inside their app.
Honestly, if you're running on an iOS device, you owe it to yourself to check out Jamup XT. There's a Bass Expansion Pack available that will blow your mind!! Not to mention the amazing connection that Positive Grid has with their users.
Amplitube is a nice introduction to the works of iOS bass, but you'll quickly outgrow it as other apps do the job better, and have the ability to use Audiobus.

Slash is the lead guitar for Guns N Roses.....
He also use a very tall hat and smoke while he plays. He use a Gibson LP and now when Guns N Roses do not gather that much attention he gets some pocket money from IK Multimedia.
IK multimedia are only interested in selling their iOS stuff for bedroom guitar players. They will always hide behind their Amplitube 3 and the Custom Shop when you give critics to their product. They still make lots of hardware which goes through the analog mic/ headphone jack thus, iRig, iRig stomp, iRig Mix, iRig Mic etc.
the iRig Mixer should have been a perfect product for us if they made it digital thus 30pin or lightning interface. I've been a Hugh Amplitube iOS fan, but they way they treated us on their forum stopped me from using the product, even more then then fact Jamup is better. WAY better. I did dig the B15R and the Møller OD, but luckily I do not miss or need them now.
