So I got one of these guys today... http://ohnoho.com/2009/06/chk-chk-bo...effects-pedal/
no not the unicorn one
(P.S.: I wish)
but I actually had to hurry up and order this early b/c he does different art for each batch of 10 and the new ones look like this...
I got mine with the optional joy button for use with your hands.
Seems like I'll have fun with something like this. I think it'll be cool to experiment with the stuff I'm doing right now.

Also, no power supply or battery needed for the CCB.

Currently eyeing up a Phase 100, Electric Mistress and Holy Grail Reverb.

I originally got interested in feedback pedals again since I saw someone making their own for sale on etsy.com for MUCH less than the Total Sonic Annihilation which is ridiculous @ $150. I talked to them and asked what sort of pedals sounded good and they said, reverb, delay and almost any other modulation.

| | | | hmmm.
i'd like to get the baby utter stutter, but i'm not sure what the difference between a momentary and latch switch is.
(the baby only has a latch, the regular has both)
help mehhhhhh |

Latch means that you click the switch on, and then press the switch again to turn the effect off. |

| | | | makes sense now. thanks a ton!!
so how do you hook your effects into this? i see there is in/out and send/return. with my lack of experience with noise effects, i would plug my chain directly into the input of this pedal, and the out to either a looper or my amp. how do you use the send/receive??
new.... |

So you've got Bass---->Pedals----->Amp
and with the send/receive, it becomes:
Bass------------>Pedal----------->Amp. _______________/\ _____________Other Pedals
My guess is that this pedal has send/receive jacks so you only have to turn the one pedal off, instead of having to turn all the effects in the feedback loop off . |

Also to clarify, when stepping on the momentary switch feedback is started, upon letting it go feedback is stopped.
All things work as if they were in line normally until you step on the CCB

ONLY if you buy one with a loop mute will you be able to silence the pedals in the loop w/o manually turning each of them off.

and since i need two more spots to be filled up on my pedalboard, what should i get to go along with it? i LOVE the CCB's graphics, and this alone makes me want it over the Killswitch.
does the quality of the effected pedal in the Loop matter? should i just pick up a cheepo Behringer or invest in some sort of Ring-Mod pedal?

It made my MXR Carbon Copy do kind of a shwoosh effect, which was dreamy and cool. I think it works better with delays, but I haven't tried mine with everything I have. I could and let you know out of what I have works best, if you want.
Also, i'd get the Blowing Up or Utter Stutter. The Blowing Up is a super booster. It is SO loud that you literally have to barely have your bass volume on to have it 10 times louder than normal. It distorts the **** out of everything you use it with. You amp if you straight plug it in, you pedals...whatever. Crazy pedal.
