and i'm not happy with the sound i get. I've done alot of fiddling and i can't get a sound i like out of it. What other options are available to me in the same price bracket. I wondering whether i should opt ofr a digital one over my current analogue.
Any input appreciated
Thanks in advance

That statement is probably no use to anyone

It has very controllable settings, and works through the entire spectrum of bass frequencies. Also has a delay option, seperate, if that interests you. The delay is so so, but the chourus is magic. |

I was trying them out side by side in a guitar shop, and both of them got the same sound that I wanted, which is very deep chorus (How much more chorus-ey can in it get? ...The answer is none... none more chorus...) I bought the CH1 because it was cheaper, though.

The CH-1 is more hollow-sounding to me, which can work for guitar but it's not a good thing for bass IMO. |

| | | | I like the Ibanez pink/purple pedal -- can't remember the model number. Has that cool 80's chorus sound. But I wouldn't recommend it unless it's used in a bypass loop because it sucks the high end worse when not in use worse than any other pedal I've run into. Seriously, if you want to do a demo to show why true bypass is a good thing, this is the pedal to use. But it sounds good. I guess it's like a hot chick friend that won't date you. |

All the Boss one's are nice and deep, even the bass chorus is good. The H20 is goddamn amazing but as you said the delay is so-so, and I agree. The Small Clone I just dig the sound, bought it for 40 bucks new, and like it. If you don't man don't sweat it, because there are MANY great chorus's out there all at a good price. |

Send it back!
As a loyal fan of EHX, that pedal is a severe disappointment.
I really hope they fix them... there's no reason for them to have the flaws they do. They should've just stuck to the Small Clone circuit!

I'd prefer the better sound of the newer clone theory (one i've tested out at that) rather than the alleged not as good sound and un-tested of a vintage one.
Oh it would have been cool to try it though
