Just when I thought I had everything together, I find that my tone is inadequate for what I am doing. My other band, Spore, is in warm storage, so I've moved on to Ganon.
Before Grygrx moves my thread to Misc. or band, allow me to say that the new potion as bassist in Ganon is the reason I'm posting this.
I need a distortion that is big sounding. I know bass distortions are like opinions, but perhaps someone(s) who are in a 2- or 3- man sludge/doom/stoner band where the focus is on riffs could help me here. Price is kind of an object, but it can be put in perspective.

I have a few on my board cause our different riffs call for different sounds (sometimes smooth, sometimes huge). Hard to try and pick one but I would prolly say that my Alien Hate Fuzz seems to be my fav It can do some mild overdrive to full on fuzz and retain good lows. Plus it goes great with every other dirt I have (one knob though and no AC plug... ) |

Alien Hate Fuzz into Green Stache is my fav fuzz tone ever. So freakin brutal. |

Not that it's not great pedal, budget is a key factor here.

It is my "go-to" fuzz. | And I spent $65 dollars on buying my El Grande back I mean, it did work for a little while until I realized the limitations...
