Is it okay to use a DigiTech power supply with a Boss pedal?

Hey guys. I have a question. I want to sell my DigiTech DigiDelay and get a Boss DD-6, since I hear those are much better. Question is, it says I should use the Boss PSA 9V DC adaptor on the pedal, but is it alright if I use the HPRO PS200R 9V DC power supply that DigiTech recommends for their pedals? Is there really any difference? I tried it out with my Boss RC-20XL for a bit and it didn't seem to matter...are there any possible repercussions? Thanks.

So long as the voltage and mA are the same, as well as the polarity of the plug itself.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure about polarity, but the mA on the DigiTech power supply is 100mA more than the Boss power supply, although the voltages are the same. Is that bad?

No, as long it is not less than. The pedal will only draw as much current as it needs.

Yeah, volts and polarity are the big ones

most single pedals draw less than 30mA of current, with the exception being digital delays usually, but they still stay under 80mA
