hey dudes,
im looking for a new dirtbox. i like the way the bogdan responds to playing dynamics and doesnt change your tone too much, but i want something that doesnt lose ANY low end (i know its just a little but...) and has a smoother and more saturated drive (opposed to the bogdan's dry abrasive drive)
i will use this as a +1 pedal for some dirt and a volume boost
any suggestions?

For the record, it really works great for very light overdrive or total fuzz blitzkrieg, but not much in between. Also, I found it to have zero low end loss when set-up properly. For the money, it's worth it - but there are a lot of other pedal options that give you those same tones with more options!
Beyondthe48- You're gong to need to spend a little more to improve on the Bogdan (probably). In my experience, real tube od/distortions provide more natural sounding saturation. Look for an EBS Valve Drive, possibly an English Muff'n w/ higher gain tubes installed, or one of the Mesa tube pedals. |

A lot of pedals just do WAY too much to the signal and being able to mix wet/dry is probably the difference between searching infinitely for and blowing tons of dough on trying to the "perfect" pedals or just using something that's close enough and blending it with clean signal.
Just sayin. |

Another pedal that I'm surprised that I like on bass is the HardWire CM-2 Tube Overdrive. |
