Old House = Serious Hum, but not while in effects loop

So I just bought a great new cab (Epifani 3x10) and a fantastic new pedal Dr. Scientist The Elements. As soon as I plugged everything in, a horrible hiss/hum is coming through. I already did some trial and error and it is most definitely this pedal causing the majority of my gripe.

Now, I was all ready to run down to the dreaded GC and get a Monster PRO 200 Audio PowerCenter when I began some more research and trials. I read some about Isolation Transformers, as I am in a very old house and pretty sure my wiring could use some TLC (and my landlord is an electrician, go figure). The last thing I did was run only The Elememts through my LMIII's effects loop and voila Beautiful.

Question: Is there something I can do/buy that allows me to achieve this while running in-line?

Thanks Much my smart friends

*edit - I am also running a PP2+*
