Oh lookie, lookie what I have just stumbled across:

http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/n...ducts-65-c.asp

POG2 is in stock next week!!! I couldn't help it. I tried not to. Not very hard, I admit. But I've ordered one!

Full spec here. Don't know where they got it - I can't even find it on the EHX site yet!

No info on the two Q-balls? The 22 Caliber intrigues me but I suspect that will be voiced more for guitar. Though can you imagine if it isn't, a VT-Bass into the 22 Caliber?!!!

damnit, I just ordered a micro... I mean, I knew the POG2 was coming, but I only really wanted the +1 and -1 functionality that's in the micro. This, however, has a delayed attack which could actually replace my behringer sm-200 (which I'm looking to replace, anyway)... Also, it works daisy chained! gah... will wait for some reviews. Depending on what happens I might actually resell my micropog unopened and buy this instead :\ The only problem I can see is that I don't really dig the whole "slider" thing much. still... looking delicious.

Wow, the POG2 has everything they wished for..

There's an "Enigma: Qballs" for bass and a "Riddle: Qballs" for guitar. Both have control over attack, decay, q, lp/bp/hp, Q, sensitivity, start and stop, and a switch for bypass and distortion. Looks pretty sweet, can't wait to hear clips.

The "Start" and "Stop" controls are intriguing. I thought it would have two controls to select which vowel sounds it quacks between, but this sounds more like it operates like the BMS filter.

Ooh, exp. pedal socket too.

It's still an enigma/riddle!

I can't believe a UK stockist has got them in first?! Unless all the US dealers have em incoming too but this store has broken it's code of silence early!

Does that Q-Balls look like it has an expression input on the right there? Or it could be an envelope trigger input...

I am not a pedal guy, but I dig playing around with the pog. This new version has most everything that annoyed me about the original pog addressed. Only pedal I've seen in ten years that I thought to myself, I will buy that.

start/stop looks to be carried over from the stereo polyphase

Yes, however it appears they have ditched them for a lone detune slider which I may like better as long as it doesn't detune all octaves at the same rate

The XO box smaller footprint is a bit of an optical illusion. Once you get the jacks in you don't really save much space.

And, IMHO, these larger-bodied XO models feel a bit cheap compared to the older bent stainless boxes. Can't really explain it any better than "feels a bit cheap", though.

Blew up the Qballs for a better look, POG2 didn't zoom very clearly.

Wow. I wonder what the street price will be in the U.S.

It looks great, but I wonder why this wasn't the pedal released the first time around. I believe they had already built the BMS into an XO frame at that point.

Don't know that I'll get one but I certainly want one a lot more now than I did previously.

EDIT: VERY curious to find out more about that QBalls.

*sigh*

As with many around TB, I've spent to much on gear lately, but I suppose since I'm an envelope junkie, sign me up for the Enigma. It's been on my radar for a while now... the Qballs and a 3Leaf are next on my list. Can't wait!

5sg.
