one knob pedals

Sign in to disble this ad
so playing around with my new Phat Phuk B today-
and looking at Pedaltrain Nanos-
I started thinking it would be cool to put together a board
with only one (or zero) knob pedals.
I know there are lots of boosts, some fuzzes, some phasers...

let me start a list-
Analogman Beano Boost
Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso
D*A*M Meathead
EHX Small Stone
EHX Freeze
EHX Nano LPB-1
EHX Holy Grail nano
EHX Small Clone
EHX Bassballs
HAO Rust Ride
Lovepedal Pickle Vibe
Lovepedal Babyface Trem
Mountainking Huge Box
MXR Phase 90
MXR Micro Chorus
MXR Micro Amp
Whirlwind Orange Box
W&C Phat Phuk B

what else, dudes?

Like this?
E.W.S. - Subtle Volume Control

E.W.S. - Bass Mid Control - I know it has two contol knobs, but the concentric pot gives you the one knob look and that is what you´re looking for, right?
Lehle - Sunday Driver
Stellartone - ToneStyler
Xotic - EP Booster

BBE Boosta Grande
EHX The Mole
HBE Germania Treble Boost
Keeley Katana Boost
Z.Vex Super Hard-On (and the numerous clones thereof)

I'm sure I can eventually thing of more, but the real question would be how useful/versatile would a one/zero-knob-per-pedal pedalboard be?

You'd be surprised what I could do with my custom wah (no external knobs), Analogman Bass Beano Boost, a modulation (babyface trem, phase 45, pickle vibe), and a Lovepedal Echo Baby. I could do everything I'd ever need to do with that.

yep, there ya go.

I'm thinking Small Stone, Phat Phuk B, Meathead, and Echo Baby.
I could do almost everything I need live with that.

^ I'd suggest Meathead Dark - it's very rare though.

Add to the list:
Rogue Sounds - Savage Henry
Colorsound - The One Knob Fuzz Box
Mountainking Electronics - Huge Box and Ruckus

yeah, Meathead Dark is the one I would want.
actually, I probably won't try to assemble the rest until I can find one.

I might cheat and use a Carbon Copy, too.

Meathead Dark is discontinued, but the new Meathead Deluxe is tuned to go between Standard and Dark versions.

Sounds like an interesting concept.

My own concept normally goes towards maximum versatility out of each piece of gear, but different people have different tastes.

Technically, my HOG doesn't have any knobs. I don't know of any gear which comes close which has only one control on it, though, even if I leave the footswitch and expression pedal out of the picture.... *laugh*
