Well I have the choice of either getting the Big Muff Pi

Or the BassBALLS

I'm leaning more towards the BassBALLS, but I'm wondering what you guys think. I would like one that is really cool sounding, but also offers some practicality.

Any other suggestions would be nice as well.

The Bass Big Muff might work better for you than the regular Big Muff although I prefer a Muff clone which has an added switch that changes the eq curve or bypasses the tone section altogether.
The Bassballs is fun but sort of a one trick pony as opposed to the mini Q-tron or better yet the Q-balls Enigma or Q-tron Plus.
If you search for any of these above terms here on TB you'll find loads of opinions, options, sound clips, etc. Also, you'll get more bang for your buck buying used effects in the classifieds here than buying new from GC.
Welcome,

Yeah I meant the Bass Big Muff. I got some GC gift cards for Christmas so that's what I decided to put them towards.

After watching some videos, the Micro Q-Tron is an awesome sounding effect.

Now I'm stuck between the Bass Big Muff and the Micro Q-Tron, since they're relatively around the same price.

Ah, the gift cards and the perennial dilemma, dirt or funk. What sort of stuff do you play most? Of course, eventually both would be good. They sound great together.

Well, I play a lot of both, mostly. However I think I'm going to go with the Big Muff for now. The guys I jam with are mostly in the heavier mood, so I think that would be a good choice.

Q-Tron, definitely down the line get that. That sounds like a great effect.

Then maybe Bassballs later on.
