Hey guys, I was thinking about getting a OneSpot to power the following pedals:
-Boss TU-2
-Sadowsky preamp
-EHX Bass Big Muff
-EBS MultiComp
What do I look for to tell whether I'm going to have a noise issue running a daisy chain?
Can the ground life on the sadowsky remedy any of that?

Even though you can get a reverse-polarity adapter for the daisy chain supply, it will not avert noise problems. None of those use reverse polarity though, so you're good on that front. Unfortunately beyond that, it gets into some voodoo--different electronic circuits will interact with each other via the ground plane, and sometimes those interactions result in noise, even though "supposedly" the pedals should be compatible. Trial and error is the only way to discover those.
The ground lift on the Sadowsky only affects its DI connection to the PA, it does not alter the ground connection with the power supply or the other pedals. |

I don't notice too much noise at practice levels but there is some noise when playing within a band/live context. The noise is not too loud but can get annoying after a while. If I were you I would save up a bit more money and buy a DC brick. I know it's like 3x more $ but I'm sure you'll be 3x happier in the future. This is my opinion from a first hand onespot user. |

The Dunlop Brick is just a daisy chain in a box, it is vulnerable to most of the same issues as a OneSpot. To step up, you actually have to get something with isolated outputs, like the Voodoo Labs, BBE SupaCharger, or T-Rex Fuel Tank Jr. |

Good to know about the brick, though.

All of the voodoo I mentioned is just something to bear in mind in case you do hear noise, so you aren't baffled. |

| | | Yea, I was planning on giving it a go. I'll see if there are any noise issues.
Being able to run off a daisy chain is a major reason why I went with the Sadowsky Pre over the Aguilar Tonehammer. That and I got it off a dude in the classifieds for $120 .
