Open Source Effects Processor

Nothing came up in my search for this so I'm making a post.

Looks neat, you can make your own effect/patch models with a graphical interface then load them onto it. There isn't much of a community yet, but I think it deserves some attention. Not much in the way of bass-oriented things either, but I assume you could tweak that.

I'm pretty interested, howzabout yinz?

Interested, yes. I thought someone already made a MAX/MSP pedal? Or was that just a "sombebody oughtta do that" thing?

Hmm...I've never seen this multi-effects processor before. nor am I familiar with the company. but it is interesting to see a multi-effects processor in a stomp box form. if you're planning on purchasing one, go for it. test it out on bass and give us a review on it. in case you're having trouble with low-end losses, it would be a good idea to purchase a blender pedal. that way you'll be able to create an awesome sound that doesn't kill any low-end.

Open source means anyone can modify the source code legally.

They are making OSX and Linux software too though.

You're right it does, and I stand corrected: http://www.openstomp.com/wiki/index....ac_OSX_/_Linux

I think there just isn't much going on, it isn't dead though. The guy that made it last posted on November 22, 2009.

Hmm, it seems like a very small community. I guess that's a risk of open source...

Here is another one I found, although in beta (or what closely approximates it) testing.

I believe Miss Parker really is dead. Note the "hottest news" is from 2006.

That looks like it would have been real neat.
