I'm trying to get another board together and ran into a dilemma. I have a Dunlop 105Q and Bluebeard combination that I like, but I also like my Foxx Fuzz/Wah. They are both unique tones and I love what both combos give me. I guess my question is: Do you think this an exercise in redundancy, or should I just put them all on my board?

Another question would be; will the difference between the two inform your performance regardless of whether or not the audience notices the tone differnce? IMHO if the answer to either or both questions is yes, it's worth having both on the board. |

If you have enough room on your board to put both than go ahead! |

seriously, put 'em both on. you may find some funky combinations that use all three! that'd either sound awesome and massive, or like crap. either way, sounds like fun!

I see no reason for you running two different wah setups to be any different.

I especially utilized the different effects while recording. For one song, I'll want the extra touch-sensitive feel of the Hotcake, but for the next song I'll want a sharper biting distortion found in a Devi TP (and I even layered that track with a Bluebeard). I guess it depends on how you use either setup. Do you really need both on your board? Are they different enough to necessitate both on the same board?
Either way, IMO, it couldn't hurt to have both... but I am generally unable to resist almost any pedal... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
