Opinion Wanted On Wah Pedal(s)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey, I am looking at getting a wah-wah pedal for my Wick Covette $$ bass and I really don't have a clue as to what is good. I am looking for a vintage '60's era wah sound. Any thoughts? -Jordan

Ive got a Wah One pedal. It's a great pedal but there is a slight but noticeable volume reduction when the wah is engaged, which is a bit disappointing.

Dunno about the vintage sound your after but it is a good pedal and doubles as a volume pedal too.

Dunlop 105q's appear to be the most popular bass wah around, if I had to purchase one again it would be that.

Hope this helps.

I have a 105q. I think that it is awesome. I have gotten some cool sounds out of it. I can't see me getting rid of it. Sweet modern sounds when you need them and older tones when you need them too.

Ibanez Weeping Demon has taken the place of the 105Q on my board.

the 105Q seems more funky than psychadelic to me.

The Weeping Demon is a great pedal and highly adjustable, lets you get the sound you want out of it...ton of fun to play with.

I would suggest against the 105Q. It's really more quacky and funky than vintagey for sure.
