Opinions on Fulltone Octafuzz?

Has anyone used these with bass before? I know they're a guitar pedal and the search turned up nada.

I got the opportunity to get one used locally for $100 with the Fulltone 9V powersupply. Pedal is in almost new condition.

Sounds like a cool effect to use and I love my Fulltone BassDrive.

Should I snag this baby or what?

Octave Fuzzes are fun on bass. But for what it's worth the Fulltone octafuzz is probably my least favorite sounding one I've heard. Also, I really wouldn't recommend getting an octave fuzz if you don't know all about how to properly utilize it and know what you're going to use it for beforehand because if you don't it's very likely to end up being pretty useless to you for practical applications. But there have been some bass players to put octave fuzz type pedals to good use, one of the bass players for Sonic Youth is known for using a Dunlop Hendrix Octave Fuzz, I believe.

Sounds like a pretty logical reason to look elsewhere

Yeah, I got that. It just wasn't very specific. What didn't you like about its sound?

Sweeping statements aren't overly helpful...
