Orange boss OD distortion pedal modable?

Two months ago on my b-day one of my friends gave me this pedal and me being me(have to open things up and look at the wiring) a few weeks after opened it looked around made sure everything was good, but when I closed it and connected it to my bass I got faint distortion and more fuzz, I really liked it but I need a distortion now and the other pedal I have won't cut it- the boss was best.

My question is if anyone knows how I might have modified it, I would have checked myself but that same day we were leaving the country for two weeks and I had to leave it there.

Yes, all of Boss's analog pedals can be modded. Sounds like you are talking about the DS-1, which we have some threads about modding--so search on "ds1" to find that.

The thing is, did it sound different before you opened it? Odds of you having modified anything by just opening and closing it are pretty tiny.

Yes before it was very distortiony like high gain I guess but when I put it back together at full gain it was as if it was at 3(if I hadn't messed with it) thanks for the info on it.
