I've had my Orbit for a while now and I love it but when I first got it I found it had a long learning curve. The manual doesn't really offer any sample settings and while I enjoy experimentation and knob twiddling very much it is nice to have a starting point or two so I thought I'd post some settings that I like. I posted the settings where they change in the clip and I also posted my signal chain and recording method on the soundcloud page. I didn't do anything to the audio file other that transfer it from the PS-04 to my Mac. I hope someone finds these useful in some way. I plan on doing some more samples later using it with other effects. And of course samples of my other toys to come later. Jay. Reason: I'm dumb and didn't include the link. Yay me.

| | | | kool sound samples ! you see, i dont understand how the creators of these pedals expect everyone to buy an audio piece of equipment without posting up sound samples like this. i wasnt too sold on the orbit and was leaning more towards the devi ever ruiner but since she has an extremely small amount of sound samples up, not even from herself...i might be going for the orbit again. i mean the samples of the ruiner is her playing with a radiohead song on which is fine but id really like to hear it solo.
the orbit seems too extreme for me though, the ruiner has been said the same about but i dont know really since i cant find stuff like this for it. guess my only choice is to buy the ruiner and cross my fingers :/ |

I've wanted to try this pedal out for a while but haven't found the time/funds.

I'll record a couple tomorrow. It's a weird pedal for sure. It reacts quite differently depending on how I have my pick ups set up. It oscillates like crazy when I use my bridge pu in humbucker mode. |

I've found it reacts quite differently depending on which pick ups I use and what mode they are in. Something tells me this thing reacts somewhat differently from bass to bass.
What kind of bass(es) did you try through it? I do notice some lowend loss soloing the bridge pu. Especially in some settings. I'll post some straight fuzz clips later and use different pu settings to show the differences. |

It wasn't that bad in the lows, but it does cut out the lowest rumble frequencies, but so do most fuzz pedals. But compare it to bass heavy pedals like the Bass Big Muff or SFX Micro Fuzz and you'll notice the difference. |
