I ordered a Chunky Cheese kit about two months ago and and am still waiting. They do respond with emails ("we're working on it"), but still nothing. Anyone else had any experience with this company and their "slowness"?

No direct experience with OLC but I do know that their demand has gotten big enough that they have had to sub contract a bunch of the pedal building out. As far as I know the Chunky Cheese is still "in house".

OLC is really a BYOC style of company as opposed to a pedal builder. Their bread and butter is making kits for you to solder up but considering most people aren't solder monkeys I'm guessing they weren't prepared to meet demand. That said,...the Chunky Cheese is a great pedal and worth the wait. I don't think they'll do you wrong.

Best of Luck

EDIT: I see,...you ordered a kit,...can't really comment on that. I imagine it shouldn't take 2 months to get to you but at least they aren't blowing you off.

If it's a build, be very patient. As a small time builder, I know that sometimes "life" gets in the way or problems arise with the soldering.

If it's just a kit, I'd be worried after two months. Just keep the emails pleasant and professional to the company.

Waiting on a prebuilt Flipster here, it's only been 5 weeks and I'm not worried. I got a confirmed answer the first week that it was going to be built and they have a good reputation.

Hopefully in the next few weeks

Mine was a kit that's why I was a little concerned - but I'll be patient.

I ordered a kit awhile back and after more than a month and a half, I contacted them to cancel my order and refund my money. That's WAY too long to wait for a kit. I got a few time stalling answers via email as well. Not a great experience I must say, which is too bad, the kits look awesome.

What's the current status on kit orders from OLC? Still slow? I'm thinking about ordering a kit for a secret santa, but don't want to wait for a month to get it.

EDIT: Just realized this thread is mis-titled. Officially Licensed Circuits,...not "Original".
