OUTSTANDING ProTone Pedals customer service experience

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey everyone,

Just wanted to relate:

I bought a used ProTone LowGear Thruster a while ago (the very one that was reviewed here on TB a few years back by the prior owner).

The pedal never sounded like it was working right since I got it - instead of boosting level and adding bass, it cut level and thinned the sound. Something's wrong!

Anyway - I emailed Dennis @ ProTone, and he had me send him the pedal. He checked it out, and decided to simply upgrade me at no charge to the newest revision of the pedal - I got a brand-new pedal in the mail today!

Remember - I was not even the original owner of the faulty pedal. He simply replaced it with a newer, better upgraded unit.

THAT, my friends, is customer support. The least I can do is give this guy props for some very excellent service.

I haven't plugged in the pedal yet, but will post a full report on this newest version. AFAIK it's similar to one of the old EH bass boosters. I opened it up and the PCB is very simple - about 10-12 components at most.

Just thought I'd share!

Peace,
Martin
