I wounder how hard it'd be to build if given the specs? or if someone could do it in a cost effective manner?
Peace

I have been putting money back and keeping an eye out for one of these. If for nothing else, just to hear it.

Is there a pedal company that will make pedals to your specs?

He has always done custom work on request, and if he has a design already in the can (such as this one). It would probably cost in range with his other new pedals (which is a little pricey.) |

He's one of the few who do "almost anything" to your specs, as long as the schematics can be found. But note that custom work is not cheap. If you think the reason for DBA's price is pure profit, try building a DIY of the same size and complexity, plus silkscreening, plus business overhead like website maintenance and parts inventory, and figure your actual labor hours for every little thing involved in making the pedal, and see what it costs you. (OTOH that's not to say there isn't any markup there...) |
