Intrigued by fuzz pedals at the moment, but the only use I see for them when I switch it on it's from going to smooth analog signal to OMG WHY'D YOU PUNCH MY BABY IN THE FACE YOU MEAN HUMAN! ...or other.
thoughts....

-JV | This is the same thing I use my Swollen Pickle for at the moment. My main sound is the overdriven channel on my amp and I kick the Pickle for extra heavy parts of a few songs.
I recently tried it with the sustain dialed back a bit with my clean channel\no compressor and found an awesome fuzz tone that could be used for an entire song. |

Connect the A/B switch to a serious (~300w) tube amp with the Master around 10 and the preamp set on the higher/breaking up side and babies will be punched in the face all over the block.

A lot of people are playing more electronic-sounding stuff nowadays, in which synthy/fuzzy bass is quite common, too. Honestly, if adding dirt doesn't "make sense" to you, start with a nice, dynamic overdrive. Start playing it, then CRANK the gain.

Wasn't sure if it was an stage effect or real trouble.
I heard people say "ah freakin cool" and I, myself, thought "wow, cool man, your amps freakin on fire". My second thought was "hey, wheres the nearest exit"?
