Question Which is the overdrive/distortion unit?

I play mainly with a clean setting, but I want to play certain parts with a dirter tone... I'm new to effects, so I have no clue which stompboxes or racks are hit or miss.

I LOVE the HBE Hematoma. Very diverse for a fuzz pedal & plenty of things to adjust to dial in the sound you are looking for. PLUS, also has a pre amp / boost button as well. Just my 2 penneth.

the hematoma is GREAT but i wouldn't really recommend it for any kind of mild, dynamic "only when you dig in" kind of overdrive.

Prescription electronics makes the "experience pedal" that works pretty good for a modern fuzz tone.
