I have a Fulltone Bassdrive and it's great.
Sold my Fuzz because I wasn't using it that much.
I do love Fuzz sounds.

Just using my Green Stache (GGG-tuned EHX BMP replica).

The pimped out Vintage Reissue RAT is on the sideline.

I'm leaning toward OD as my first pedal. But still considering fuzz

Pro Co Rat, Marshall Guv'nor, Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive, and EBS ValveDrive, all for different flavors of overdrive. Valvedrive does a good fuzz, but I don't really use it for that.

I love Fuzz. I use some OD, but Fuzz is much more pleasing to my ears.

I use Fuzz way more, but I think the idea of "versus" when it comes to two different styles of distortion is a little silly.

I believe these different types of distortion serve different purposes. I play in a trio, and often use a light fuzz to thicken my tone. If I needed to cut through a large group of musicians, I would probably use light overdrive to serve that purpose.

the idea of versus makes a lot of sense when you can only afford one and are trying to decide which one to buy first

Depends on what is called for at the moment, but I'd say I wind up using both equal amounts.

Well, would you buy an apple first, or would you go for the orange?

apple or orange? it would depend on which one I would be more likely to eat first.
thats the point of this, to determine which pedal would get used more, and that would be the one I'd get first until I could afford the other one

I should be receiving a fuzz shortly but I've been using OD for quite a while. My taste in fuzz is pretty mild and dark, close to OD. Some fuzzes can sort of cop an OD and vice verse as it's sort of a matter of degrees of clipping. I may very well not keep the fuzz but I really doubt I'll ever ditch my OD.

I'm still not sure of the difference - it's one of degree, but where?
Is the Polish Love an OD or a Fuzz? What about... yada yada.

Flipster is an OD... I think...
