I use a PBDDI as a preamp and I've noticed that if I crank up a clean boost in front of it (the make-up gain knob on my compressor) I can get a much dirtier distortion sound out of the sansamp's "drive" section. Do other people do this? I realize that the sansamp is a digital pedal (I think), so if I cranked things up enough I'd probably max out some ADC and get nasty digital clipping. But it didn't seem to happen when I tried this the other day.. |

But yeah, it's supposed to react like a tube amp, so anything you throw in front of it will cause it to react accordingly.
