Hey!

I'm looking for a similar bass fuzz/drive as heard in this song. Really cool sound, its nothing new, but it works great for shoegaze bands.
Can you recommend something alike? Would English Muff'n do the trick? Thanks anyways!

Sounds to me like the classic P-bass/SVT sound everyone wants from a pedal. Your best bet is any of the Sansamps or a BJFE Blueberry, maybe a Hematoma.

Sansamp.

And use the blend function.
I find it to be the best feature to tweak the tone just right.....

If the pictures here are any clue, it is a Precision... and I don't see pedals in front of the bassist. http://www.thepainsofbeingpureatheart.com/pictures/

Well, thanks!

I own a Sansamp BDDI, so I'll give it a try. My Jazz Bass's bridge pickup with full treble will do just fine. He is using a Squier P-bass.
That's kinda cheap and he's getting such a great sound out of it.

I used those settings and it sounded pretty much the same, sort of wavey, wobbly sound. Sorry about the bad phone pic.
