Paint a Completed Pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone painted a pedal without disassembling it first? I have a green russian muff clone that I want to paint green, but the pedal is so jam packed that I can't take out the components without de soldering half of the pedal.

Is the answer just making tape and spray paint? Thanks

If you don't need the pedal for about a week, go or it. If you do it right, you'll need over a day between each paint and clear coat. Rushing it's the last thing you'll wanna do.

Do yourself a favor and use painters tape if you do pull the guts. It will save you a lot of time with sanding the damn holes. Recently built a TGD kit from Dwarfcraft and it uses the enclosure for the grounding. So I had to sand some of the holes because of paint over spray. Pain in the ass.

Turned out really nice though.

You can always hook the grounds that go on the chassis to the ground on the power. Works equally as well.

Where is the facepalm emoticon? That would have saved me a lot of time and frustration.
