Pandora PX4D help-how do I deactivate the bass part of the rhythm?

Sign in to disble this ad
The manual simply says that in the "basskey" mode I can turn off the bass, but does not tell me "how" to do so". It says that pressing the enter/rec key will cause the bass to play, but the bass is playing all the time in rhythm mode and this key ain't doin' diddley....????? What am I doing wrong or not doing?
Thx

Hit the Aux pitch button until the screen reads KEYTN + BC. Then adjust the pitch with the thumbwheel until it is at 0 with the little arrow on top marking the center position. It sounds a little funky, but does cut the bass from the aux input source.

If there is a better way, I don't know it.

EDIT::: I have the PX4B. I don't know if it works the same as the PX4D or not.

I don't have my PX4D in front of me here at work, but I think this should work:

1. Press the Rhythm button. On the screen, you'll see what rhythm pattern you have selected.

2. Press either the << or the >|| keys. This will let you scroll through the Rhythm options (set tempo, etc.).

3. IIRC, one of these options allows you to turn the bass off. Set options by scrolling the big wheel on the right (above the << and >|| buttons).

If this doesn't work, I can screw around with mine tonight and see how I turned the bass off.

I already sent a PM to lomo, but here it is for anyone else reading this thread - my earlier instructions were slightly off.

To turn the PX4D's basslines on and off, or change the key of the bassline, here's what you do:

1) Press RHYTHM button. You should see the name of the drum pattern you've chosen.

2) Press the >|| button twice. You should see 'BASS ON.' After a couple of seconds, 'BASS ON' will turn into 'BASSKEY' allowing you to select the key of the bassline with the scroll wheel (just FYI...).

3) Press the ENTER/REC button. You should now see BASSOFF and the bassline should disappear.

Thank you fuzz factor!!!!!

And thumbs down to Korg for 1)not putting this anywhere in the manual and 2) having BIG FAT ZERO SUPPORT

Once again, the TB community shows it's merit.
