patch cable?

Sign in to disble this ad
what patch cables do you use normally?

i tried Hosa in the past but plan to go something higher end .. but since i am not so set with my board, i plan to use George L for later us ..

some has mentioned Monster's but i can't seem to find it selling anywhere online ..

what most online store has are the hosa pretty much and live wire :0

just a thought what would be a good, decent patch cables series

+10000. Go with Bayou, forget Monster. George L's are pretty cool too though.

I so want to wire my board with http://www.evidenceaudio.com/ but it's WAY to pricey.

I buy most my cables from http://www.greatcables.us but plan to make my own for my board.

I use some Monsters (on clearance for $10) at GC, and some Hosa's. As I look at the wiring inside my pedals, I don't see anything special, so I can't see spending a lot of money on cables to connect them. As long as they are well-built, they do not need to be anything special.

A friend of mine works at futureshop, Pricing a monster cable...retails.....$30 or whatever they cost to buy these days. Employee price...$4.20 something CDN. You don't always get what you pay for.

I tend to agree on Monster cables being over-hyped and over priced...the only thing they have going for them is they are lifetime guaranteed, and you can get them replaced no questions ask (no receipt required).

Kias have 100,000 mile warranties but I don't feel like giving up my car for a week getting a new engine every 30,000 because of a busted timing chain.

I haven't really had a lot of monster cables go bad on me (a couple)...i just think, for the money, they really aren't that much better (if any) than most other cables on the market. Right now I use mainly Mogami instrument cables, and George L's for patch cables...but when it's time to get some new ones, I'll probably look at Bayou...or something similar...

A lot of people here seem to swear by Bayou, and I am one of those people.

His work is impecible, nicest cables I've seen. He makes nearly everything you need and to custom order (cable type, length, connector brand etc etc). Nothing better than that. Also his customer service is spot on, he usually replies to any e-mail inquiry within a day.

Pro studios worldwide rely on Canare and Mogami bulk cable. I have never ever heard of a studio at any level of professionalism bothering to invest in the uber-high-end cable like Evidence. The only people I know of buying them are audiophiles in hobbyist applications.

I haven't seen one, was just checking over there the other day. I want one dammit! Even if my board doesn't have any room left.

This kind of crap reminds me of the people who give 110% in whatever it is they do.
