The Planet Waves Pedal Board kit, is about the cheapest I've been able to find, that could probably be described as "reliable" and not cheap bargain bin cables, with moulded ends. They're still not exactly cheap unfortunately.

Hopefully someone can suggest a better alternative.

There's a ton of options out there, from cheapo to boutique expensive.
What exactly are you looking for?
Something to use in the house?
Something to use on the road?
Something to use on pedals mounted to a pedal board?
Give us some more information.

If I needed some effects cables, and didn't feel like soldering, I buy these:

If you just have a few pedals that aren't going to be mounted on a board just grab a few 6" hosas or something. For a permanent solution Lava Cable and George L's are the best options imo. I personally use the Planet Waves kits, but I would use something else if I didn't already have a decent chunk of change in them.

I'd recommend buying George L's or bulk cable and jacks and making them yourself or have them soldered by someone who knows how to do it.

Good pre-made cables are more expensive.
You can go with cheap ones or Hosas, but I'd recommend these:

+1

these are my cables for in-between pedals that are right next to each other.

for the weird lengths i use the Planet Waves Cable Station Kit, but the Hosas are good for the shorter stuff.

but don't get the multicolored plastic Hosa packs. those are junk.

Just get the cheapest patch cables you can find, and keep a few spares handy in case one fails on a gig night.

Stuff like the George L products are really only worth bothering with if you've got major wiring headaches that are big enough to warrant throwing that sort of money at, IMHO. Having an LS-2 on your board is usually what causes George L's GAS.
