ok, so the band is thinking about doing Paul Revere by the Beastie Boys (for those not familiar: Paul Revere - YouTube)

I'm thinking to get that kind of effect, go with my groove regulator on down sweep and then do a high to low slide.

Thoughts/suggestions

I'd probably just try a volume pedal first. Or one of the slow gear type things, although I don't know if any of them swell fast enough to do it well.

mmm, never even thought of the volume pedal. I think I may have one laying around too...
