Yeah, I was listening the song not really paying attention, and all of the sudden I noticed it sounded like an octaver effect but he definitely didn't have an octaver effect in the intro. I listened over once more, and sure enough he kicks on the OC-2 at 2:17. You can even hear the click from his TheGigRig looper.

Great video. Paul Turner's playing has the precision of a surgeon - I just love it, although I have to say I miss charismatic fret buzz on the original recording of this tune.

18 years on, JK and the boys are still playing seriously funky music. I've been listening to this track from the same series over and over (not for the sake of effects, btw):
