PBDDI SansAmp static noise issue

Sign in to disble this ad
'Evening,

I've had my unit for over 2 years, I use it as an always on thing. Love this pedal.

I've recently changed my set-up (quelle surprise ! and am experimenting static noise from the XLR output (which is not in use on the current chain). So I've patched the output with duct tape so to cut off the noise. I've never had to do that before. I'm pretty sure it's my current chain, I've tested the unit on its own and it's quiet as always. The cables are ok, as far as I can hear.

My current chain is (on a Boss BCB60)
BASS > Boss Tu-2 > Digitech BSW > Boss LS-2 (looped: DOD FX25b and EHX Bassballs) > SansAmp > Boss CEB-3 > AMP

Anybody ever got this with the PBDDI ?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. Are you getting noise when using the XLR out only or with the 1/4" as well? The best way to trouble shoot is with one unit at a time. Even with one pedal in line you have a few more variables. Your bass guitar, the two cables, what you are plugged into and how you are powering the unit.

What type of power supply are you using for all the pedals?

I'm getting the noise from the XLR output when I'm using the 1/4". When I put hand in front of the XLR output, the noise goes away. Sounds a bit childish, but that's what it is. I'm powering it from the BCB, which has never been a problem.

This would probably be easier to troubleshoot by phone. Please contact our tech support team, either by phone or email them with your number and they will call you back. TECH 21 - SUPPORT
