Peavy Updates AmpKit to 1.1 and How is AmpKit vs. AmpliTube f/ iPhone/iPad?

Best part seems to be it is now a “universal” app supporting iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. AmpliTube, OTOH you need to buy different versions for iPhone and iPad.

My bigger question though is anybody using/used both iRig (AmpliTube and AmpKit LiNK? Which is better? Why? Hardware? Software?

The iRig does not require any batteries, and does not work as well with active guitars / basses. The iRig seems to "feedback" alot with active guitars / basses. The Ampkit Link does require batteries, and works well with either passive or active guitars / basses.

I've settled on the Ampkit / Ampkit Link and I'm a happy camper!

Also Amplink works well with both Ampkit and iRig software. iRig doesn't. Seems like a no brainer not to go with that system.
