Pedal for 70s/80s Bass Effect?

Hi guys,

I've never been one to use many effects, but I've started playing in a new band that does a lot of 70s and 80s pop. There's a couple of songs with a synth bass sound that I need. Can someone recommend a pedal that could get the bass sound in Shake Your Body (The Jacksons) and Neutron Dance (Pointer Sisters)?

I was looking at the EHX Bass Micro Synth, but have no experience with any synth pedals so am unsure.

70's funk/prog rock: EHX Bass Micro Synth
80's pop/dance: Behringer BSY-600

this is what I use besides a modular apporach as well

i.e.: octaver> fuzz (prefereably gated) > envelope filter

some kind of slow phaser or flanger or deep chorus after a microsynth is key to a huge synth effect.

Thanks guys. And yes, I searched, read a lot of posts on synth pedals. I started my own because I was hoping to get a more specific answer to the two songs I listed.
